Despicable Me 3 News!

We’ve been waiting for the new Despicable Me movie for what seems like ages, so we’re so pleased to have seen the awesome new trailer for Despicable Me 3! With some new characters added to the lineup and some hilarious moments ready to make us all laugh like idiots, we can’t WAIT!

When is the new Despicable Me movie out?

We will be seeing the minions again June 2017

The trailer already had us laughing, when Gru and his girlfriend Agent Lucy Wilde pulled up next to a tough guy in his massive car, trying to look cool with his music blasting; we don’t think he was expecting to end up head first into a brick wall.

The Trailer for Despicable Me 3

The most exciting thing about the new Despicable Me movie, is the introduction of Balthazar Bratt; a villain who’s fashion sense was dragged straight out of the 80s.

Dancing his way onto a military ship, Balthazar uses the most unlikely of weapons to startle a guard, surrounding him in pink bubble gum so he can’t move. This bubble gum spreads and traps more people, making a clear way for Bratt to get what he came for; a giant purple gem. As he moonwalks his way to the jewel, guards appear, but he escapes after his Rubik’s Cube releases a sea of rainbow smoke (to match his suit).

Gru and Agent Wilde are sent to save the day and catch Balthazar in the act, leading to a hilarious, embarrassing moment for Gru, who ends up floating naked past office windows where someone is celebrating their birthday… what a lovely surprise to the party goers!

Now, if you’re wondering who Balthazar is, then you’ll be interested to know that he is an 80s child star, who’s former show was cancelled and he has been mad ever since.

Voiced by Trey Parker of South Park fame, the comedic delivery of Balthazar is bound to be amazing. Opposite Steve Carell and Kristen Wiig, Despicable Me 3 is going to be one of the funniest films of 2017.

Something not in the trailer…

It’s been revealed that one of the themes throughout the movie is sibling rivalry, as Gru’s long lost brother, Drew (who has a full head of hair) shows up unexpectedly. Drew is Gru’s polar opposite, with his blond mop of hair and dressing completely in white… almost angelic!

We cannot wait to see this movie, we’re so ready for some more Minion action and seeing how the story develops between Gru and his brother. If the trailer is anything to go by, we’ll be getting set for a whole host of laughs.

Now roll on June!
